Giving Old Wood A New Purpose.
|
General
LOCATION Our entire operation is located in a rural Minnesota setting, situated 15 miles East of Willmar or 81 miles West of Minneapolis. We encourage our customers to come view both our operation and our inventory as “hands-on” makes the only certain decisions. Our facility is comprised of a 14-acre site, including a lumber yard, an area for our 42’ sawmill and 2 shops totaling 7,000 square feet. What could be more fitting than working on barn wood in our converted barn shop! |
INVENTORY In any given month we have 1-4 buildings being deconstructed. Our inventory varies greatly from several hundred board feet to over a million board feet depending on the buildings coming down and material going out. We pride ourselves in only taking down materials that we know can be used in the near term and taking down buildings that are at highest risk of being lost forever to demolition, burning, or by simply falling in. Because we’re in and out of hundreds of old building each year, we also have access to metal work and hardware, creative wood pieces, and one-of-a-kind “finds” such as a collection of 1930’s license plates and boxes of 1970’s hand-made pewter belt buckles. If you are looking for something that might have been stored, lost or forgotten in a barn, let us know and we’ll see if we can fill your order. |
SELLING US YOUR WOOD We are always looking for barns, granaries, log cabins, and commercial structure with quality wood. If you have a building you would like us to take a look at or have materials for sale, contact us at 320:974:3113 or via email at Info@MNTimeWorn.com. It is advantageous if you can provide pictures of the exterior and interior of the building, close-up pictures of the wood, and the history of the building (if known).

Jared Groebner, Head Dude
Jared worked under a master carpenter for many years before attending the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, where he received his Bachelor's degree in Architecture. Jared is a licensed contractor in Minnesota. With a deep appreciation for all things wood and a knack for finding beauty where others assume waste, the career he's chosen is one of passion.
Although Jared is almost always in the shop 7 days a week, he likes to find time to ride four-wheeler and dirt bike with the boys. He also enjoys boating with his family on the many area lakes.

Amanda Groebner, Boss of Everything
Amanda attended Minnesota State University, Mankato, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Interior Design with an emphasis in Historic Restoration. Her greatest passion is designing custom furniture using reclaimed materials. Amanda's enthusiasm for barns started at a young age as she spent many hours playing in the barn's hay mow at her family's farm - which is where the company is now located!
When she's not working, Amanda spends her days caring for their boys. She enjoys gardening and reading.
